Political Economy of Agricultural and Food Policy - WILLIAM H. MEYERS
The lecture will introduce the political economy of food and agricultural policy with cross-country comparisons to stimulate discussion of differing conditions and motivations that may explain cross-country differences in policy interventions. Introduction to different measures of market support and protection that are used by OECD and other national and international organizations for monitoring market interventions and negotiating trade agreements. Further reading on referenced websites will be suggested
